JTG- A culturally rich organisation
Josh believes in more than just working and partying. We are a culturally rich organisation, Indian to the core. And festivals like Holi and Diwali are celebrated with much fanfare with a focus on participating in all the customs and rituals.
Diwali being one of the most awaited and celebrated festivals for Indians across the globe (especially in North India), it comes as no surprise that the JTG family would wholeheartedly throw themselves into celebrating the festival of lights with full gusto and aplomb!
The build up to the main day is just as exciting as the main event and our whole workspace comes alive with team members getting into the party mood even as they adhere to their day-to-day work schedules.
Morning puja
5th of Nov started with an early morning puja in the office, attended by the directors and the employees. Laxmi puja being one of the most important rituals of Diwali, the day begins with prayers to the Goddess Laxmi to invite peace, happiness, and prosperity into our homes.
Diwali brunch
The puja was followed by a sumptuous brunch of piping hot pooris and halwa, served as prashad. All Josh Technology team members came together to share a wholesome meal of Indian favorites like biriyani, paneer, chhole and spicy vegetable curry.
Activities
Diwali activities started at 3pm with a fun clay competition where people were divided into teams and had to unleash their creativity with colourful clay models representing the spirit of Diwali. Team members absolutely outdid themselves and everyone was bowled over by the most gorgeous creations that the different teams came up with. The best team was felicitated with gift vouchers.
The age-old folk art of Rangoli was another area where Josh team members came up with the most outstanding patterns that they enlivened the floors with. The whole office was transformed into a vibrant haven of colours and good cheer!
Evening snacks
An non-negotiable part of Diwali is the mouthwatering variety of Indian delicacies that are served throughout the day. The evening snacks included desi favorites like pav bhaji, dahi bhalla, paneer tikka, mushroom tikka, and moong dal chilla among other wholesome munchies.
Gifts
The day rounded off with gifts for all team members. Keeping our wellness initiatives in mind, it was fitting that we would be distributing fitness bands among other gifts of glass lamps, scented candles, and chocolates.
Diwali celebrates the triumph of good over evil and is a time of collaboration, togetherness, and revelry. We at Josh believe in celebrating life and living it to the hilt. And Diwali at JTG is just one of the many examples of our guiding philosophy.
